I have met people who charge $50, $100, $1000 for a single logo.
Let me ask you a question. What’s the worth of Nike’s logo?
It could be Billions!
If I take a plain t-shirt it would cost nothing, but If I put a Nike logo, people will buy it for $20.
Why some logo costs 1x, 10x 100x?
According to me, it’s the value you provide to the client.
Another factor that drives the price is what are my other liabilities, like electricity cost, office cost, workers cost, etc.
I charge anywhere between $20 to $100 depending on the value I provide to my client. It doesn’t depend on an hourly charge.
And why I charge so much for the logo?
It’s not because I spend more hours on a logo but I have the experience on when, where, how to use the logo.
Now some clients would say there are people where I can pay half your price and get a logo done. To them, do you value your business and brand?
A logo is what people remember first, as said visuals help people understand better, don’t you want a logo that people would love in the first 5 sec rather than any free logo with no aesthetics?
You as a client should focus on your business, it’s my responsibility to take care of your logo. My job is to give you an amazing logo, that you won’t be changing for many years and people upon seeing would say, that’s what your business is and that’s when you get a customer.
Come back to me after a year and your logo would be worth $50000 😀
Here are some examples
Before setting a price, I ask my client what is his printing budget, because more the number of people it reaches more will be the risk, in other words if the logo doesn’t serve the business great then the brand gets doomed. So pricing also works on risk factor.
FINAL WORDS:-
Clients don’t choose the best option, they choose the least risky option.
