How to gain client’s trust ?

Gain client’s trust? You don’t need to!

I have been into the freelancing industry for over 4 years now and one thing that I can say for sure is, the client will come to you if they find value in you.

Who do we call a client?

A client is someone who has a problem and to solve it he has to ask us for the solution, in this case, us refers to we freelancers or any business-related services that help a client solve their problem.

What’s my approach to gain a client trust?

A client comes to you when he is confused or he needs a task to be done. You as a freelancer have a responsibility to show him the right path to solve their problem.

The first tip to gain trust is to talk to them, understand their problem.

In my initial days, due to lack of experience I could not talk technology with my clients, so I rejected projects. Not because of lack of my ability but because of lack of clarity. I would google the term later to find out, I knew the exact approach to his problem.

In my freelancing journey, one thing that chases away your client is the budget bomb. May be your client is a business or maybe an individual, pricing shakes them up.
Before I talk about my price, I make sure the value I provide is 10 times the price he pays. I make sure my client focuses on his business and I take all the risk of solving his problem. The value you show will let your client pay any amount. I strongly believe value over money, will be the best way to gain a client’s trust.

Clients love when you show them confidence. Confidence not only shows how well you know your work but it also shows how experienced you are. A great conversation comes only when you are confident.

How experienced are you?

Before every meeting I show my previous projects to make them feel safe. Showcasing your previous projects will assure clients that their project is in good hands. Build your online presence, showcase your projects and that will build trust.
